August ’21

Newsletter

It has been a good start to the classes since the easing of lockdown restrictions and they have been gaining in momentum.

The new courses starting at the beginning of September will be in Quickstep & Rumba and I have already been practising the routines we will teach. There’s no guarantee I’ll get them right or that they won’t change from week to week!

I am looking forward to another couple of sessions with the Memory Café starting on August 19th.  We have good fun and it is such a rewarding time. If you want more details about their work then visit the website here.

The main event on the horizon is the Social dance in the Ballroom at the top of Wollaton Hall, known as the Prospect Room.  This is on Sunday 12th September from 2pm until 4pm.  I know you haven’t had much of a chance to practise your dances recently, but this is such a wonderful venue with impressive views across the park that there isn’t a better place to try them out.

Also coming up is the Autumn dance at the City Council House Ballroom.  This is such a grand place to dance; it is what all the lessons are for. It is being held on Saturday 9th October at 8pm until 10pm.

All set for the Ball.
