Newsletter

We are getting ready for the Valentine’s Ball at The City Ballroom on Saturday 16th February.  It promises to be another enjoyable evening with great music, great company and of course great dancing.  There are a few tickets left so let me know if you want to join us.
I am planning to hold another raffle and will be supporting My Sight Notts in memory of Maverick Jnr Bailey, an inspirational fitness instructor for the elderly and an avid Salsa dancer.

Please note that the Chilwell Foxtrot & Cha Cha course is starting a week later due to work being carried out in the hall.  This means there will be a weeks break on February 20th, but no break for Easter I’m afraid.  Mapperley Classes stay the same

Also the Foxtrot Workshop is now on the Sunday February 17th.  I know the 10th would have been more useful, but the date wasn’t available

Fortunately the Start Dancin’ website is back up and running again and so details can be found there.

Valentine’s Ball

There are a few tickets available for the Valentine’s Ball at the Council House Ballroom. This is on Saturday February 16th with dancing starting at 8.00pm through to 10.30pm. Again dress is smart – it is good to dress up at times – and bring your own drinks and glasses. Tickets cost £18 each so if you have registered I would appreciate payment as soon as possible as the tickets are limited to 60.  There are still about 10 tickets left so let me know if you wish to join us. The Prospect Room Dance

I have booked a Sunday afternoon dance at the Prospect Room at Wollaton Hall. It is an exciting venue for a dance as it is only accessible via a 67-step stone spiral staircase. This dance is on Sunday May 12th at 2.00pm until 4.30pm. There are only 40 places available so let me know if you want to come and dance here.  Email

I hope you have had a good festive break and are looking forward to the new courses this year.  It was an early start, without much chance to recover from New Year before getting right back into it with the Quickstep & Rumba.
